Sugar Land, TX – March 20, 2006 – The Libertarian Party of Fort Bend County held it’s first County Convention in Fort Bend County on March 18, 2006. Delegates were chosen to attend the District Conventions to be held on March 25, 2006 as well as the State Convention on June 10, 2006.

In addition to delegate selection, Party Officers were elected to serve for a two year period. The officers who were elected include Kevin Tunstall – County Chair, Danny Sessums – County Treasurer, Candace Sessums – Secretary. Michael Lee was selected to serve as Vice-Chair by Mr. Tunstall.

The Libertarian Party is committed in the continued effort of building a firm party foundation in Fort Bend County. The voters deserve a better choice than the tax-subsidized political parties currently allowed on the ballot.
