Run for Office!
Hi folks. This is a broadcast to all the email addresses I can find for Libertarians in Fort Bend County. There are several places left on our November 2012 general election ballots for which no Libertarian has filed, including:
U. S. House of Representatives District TX-09
State Senate District 13
State Senate District 17
State Senate District 18
State Representative District 26
State Representative District 28
State Representative District 30 or 85*
State Board of Education Place 4
State Board of Education Place 7
* The number of this District (western Fort Bend County) is subject to a pending court decision. As of today the boundaries for all of the above races, whether those determined by the Texas 82nd Legislature or those ordered by the federal court in San Antonio, are awaiting a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court.

Sheriff
County Court at Law
Tax Assessor-Collector
County Commissioners, Precincts 1 & 3
Justice of the Peace (Place 1 designation only)
Constable
Also, if you are a qualified attorney there are various other openings on the ballot, including District Attorney, County Attorneys and judicial options up to and including Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas! I’ll provide details on request.
If you want your name on the ballot as the Libertarian choice for any one of these races, please complete and submit the Application for Nomination now. (What about your friends and neighbors who are Libertarians?) The Libertarian Party of Texas has ballot access; that means you do not have to pay any filing fees or gather any petitions.
