Meeting Minutes May 06
Fort Bend Libertarian Party
Meeting May 21st, 2006
Sam’s Boat – Stafford, Texas
Meeting began approximately 5:10 p.m.
The minutes were distributed and approved as presented.
Danny Sessums distributed copies of the Income and Expense Report which shows that after payment of $550.00 for the Fort Bend County Fair Booth, that FBLP has a balance of $20.00.
Committee Reports:
- County Fair Booth – Danny Sessums reported that the expense for the booth had been paid. He continues to work on orchestrating members and obtaining the handouts.
- Mock Elections – David Finberg reported that he had contacted HCC about mock elections and that the department head indicated that the school would not be interested in participating in mock elections until 2008. Candace Sessums stated that she had been unable to work on the committee, but that she would get together with Michael Lee and David Finberg before the next meeting.
- Voter Data Management – Kevin Tunstall reported that 6 precincts were now in the database and that it continues to grow and that it is working. They will migrate the database to a dedicated server soon. He added that he hoped further discussion about an integrated database would be a topic of discussion at the Greater Gulf Coast Libertarian Coalition meeting.
Unfinished Business Vendor Option for Credit Cards – Kevin Tunstall reported that he had established a pay pal account and a credit card vendor account with a 4% transaction fee.
New Business:
- State Convention – Kevin Tunstall reported that delegates to state convention must have participated in the district conventions. Kevin also advised that he would run for Vice Chair of SLEC.
- T-Shirts – Kevin Tunstall reported that he was continuing to work on t-shirts with the FBLP logo. He stated the previous logo was unworkable for the embroidery. There will also be a one-time set up fee of $75.00 for the design and then the shirts would cost about $7-9 for stitching. The meeting adjourned at approximately 5:45 p.m.
